Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has opened up about how the passing of his close friend and collaborator, Mohbad, has deeply affected him and reshaped his outlook on life.
During a recent livestream with TikToker Joblaq, the artist revealed that he is currently in a period of self-rediscovery, largely influenced by the impact of Mohbad’s death.

“RIP Mohbad. After he passed away my brain reset, everything changed. The way I see things in life also changed.
“There’s a time that our parents use to tell us when we misbehave that, ‘You’re misbehaving, right? Don’t worry, very soon you will understand.’
“I’m currently in that phase where I’m starting to understand. I have understood certain things,” he said.
Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023.

A Magistrate Court in Ila-Orangun, Osun State, has sentenced 29-year-old Olaniyan Taofik to two years imprisonment without the option of a fine for unlawful entry, theft, and malicious damage to property.
The judgment was delivered by Magistrate A.A. Ayeni, who presided over the case at the Ila-Orangun court.
