Davido Receives N70 million From Fans After Jokingly Asking For a Donation

Nigerian superstar singer, David Adeleke has received over N70 million from his Nigerian fans after appealing to fans to send him money.

The DMW boss had earlier made a post on the microblogging platform, Twitter, asking fans to send him money if they’ve ever enjoyed any of his hit songs.

“If u know I’ve given you a hit song .. send me money …. una know una selves oo” Davido tweeted.

Moments after making the post and dropping his account details, Davido started giving updates and revealed the amount of money he had received so far, stating that the targeted amount is N100 million, which he plans to use to clear his Rolls Royce from the port.

Davido wrote;

Omo 7 m in 10 minutes keep goin!! I love y’all! AIM NAH 100m I wan clear my rolls Royce from port”

As of 4 pm on Wednesday, November 17, he had received a little over 70 million naira in his account.

 

Moments later, Davido revealed that he had been invited by WEMA Bank over the ‘sudden’ increase of money in his account.

The artiste then took to his Twitter account and wrote;

”Wema wanna have a meeting !!!!”
