Agediga Emerges Delta's Civil Society Man of The Year | Daily Report Nigeria

The Executive Director on Planning, Research and Statistics, in the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr Shedrack Agediga has been awarded the Civil Society Man of The Year in the state.

The renowned philanthropist was given the award in a ceremony organized by the Senior Special Assistant on Civic Engagement and Civil Society in Asaba, the Delta state capital.

The Chairman of Shedrack Agediga Foundation (SAF) took home the accolade in commeration of his gigantic humanitarian measures and contribution to peace in the state.

Meanwhile, the Delta Ijaw Comrade Community has lauded Dr Shedrack Agediga over his emergence as the Civil Society Man of The Year in the state.

In a statement by the Acting Chairman of the group, Comrade Welemu Williams, the DICC adjudged the accolade as a further consummation of the recipient’s consistency.

Welemu wrote;
“Delta Ijaw Comrade Community felicitate with an outstanding stakeholder and leader of the Ijaw people in delta and beyond; Comr Shedrack Agediga , on his award as the Delta state civil society Man of the Year.

“The Delta civil society community and office of the SSA to governor of delta state on Civic engagement and civil society that bestowed this very deserving award on the Chairman of Shedrack Agediga Foundation only amplified the reason we had once honored you and will continue to honor your virtues of kindness, humility and philanthropy.

“We join the entire delta state civil society community and Ijaw nation to celebrate an illustrious son.”

Also awarded during the ceremony was a member of the DICC, Comrade Ellington Bakumor, an aide to the Delta State Government on Political Matters.
