Amakubukuro Congratulates Pondi on Tribunal Victory

Amakubukuro Congratulates Pondi on Tribunal Victory | Daily Report Nigeria

Engr. Ebiotubo Amakubukuro has extended congratulations to the lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Julius Pondi on his victory at the National and State Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the tribunal upheld Pondi’s victory at the February 25 poll during its sitting in Asaba, last week Tuesday.

Reacting to the judgment, Amakubukuro described the lawmaker’s victory as that of the entire constituency, and poured encomiums for staying true to the course he was elected for.

In a statement on Monday, Engr Amakubukuro said;

“Congratulations to Rt. Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi on your Victory at the Elections Tribunal.

“This win at the tribunal is a win for the good people of Burutu federal constituency.

“Sir, you have been magnificent in the green chambers. You have shown prowess, authority and a high level of commitment to the legislative business and as such the good people of Burutu voted for you and they are very happy with you.

“It was hard fought battle. Thank God the enemies of progress against Burutu constituency did not suceed.

“I can say without fear and intimidation that you are doing very well for the people you represent at the lower chambers. You have shown to the young generation that young people can also lead.

“Don’t be distracted. keep being focused. I am in solidarity with you and I believe you are going to succeed at all times.

“I want to also use this medium to thank you for reaching out to the youths especially the provision of FREE UTME FORMS and free transportation for all the students. Many young people in Burutu constituency have gained admission into the university because of your commitment to education.

“It is my prayer that you will stand out among your equals and make outstanding laws in favour of the people you represent.

“I want to use this opportunity to plead with you to bring back Julius Pondi Peace Cup. This tournament has produced good footballers and it’s a way of uniting the Burutu local government communities.

“I also want to congratulate you on your emergence as Chairman, House Committee on Environment.

“Congratulations Sir. A win for you is a win for Burutu People.”
