Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has acknowledged that retiring German midfielder Toni Kroos is irreplaceable for the club.

Kroos, 34, recently announced that he would retire from football after the Euro 2024 championship in Germany.

Ancelotti praised Kroos for his accomplishments and the courage to make such a decision. Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, the Italian manager said, “Veteran players have to choose their own path.
