From June 23 to July 5, the Asian Cup women’s qualifiers for Group A were to be held in Amma.

Naturally, every football body across Asia rallied behind the change – after all, nothing matters more than safety, and they made that crystal clear.

Now, five nations including Jordan, Singapore, Iran, Lebanon and Bhutan are gearing up to battle it out in Qatar for a golden ticket to the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Australia.

Meanwhile, Australia (as hosts), South Korea, Japan and China (our defending champions) are already waiting in the wings.

Only the top team from each of the eight qualifying groups will punch their ticket to the big show.

Meanwhile, the AFC will drop the venue details and kickoff times very soon.

With the clock ticking down to the new dates, Qatar’s organizers are already shifting into high gear to make sure everything’s perfect.
