According to Ogundipe, the bank offered him the loan without any collateral, stating that they knew his church was big and would be able to pay it back.

However, he expressed concerns about how he would repay such a huge amount. The bank reportedly showed him a list of churches that had taken similar loans, ranging from N3 billion to N4 billion.

Ogundipe stated that the bank expected him to repay the loan through proceeds from crusades and revivals. He noted that some churches take loans to finance their activities and use the proceeds from these events to repay the loans.

It is worth noting that Ogundipe was convicted and sentenced to jail in 2020 for defrauding a London-based architect and converting her property for personal use.
