A midnight fire on Sunday led to the destruction of boats, shops, and other prized properties at a boatyard in Warri, Delta State.

The ugly incident occurred around the Tunde Smooth road, near Miller Waterside in the NPA area of Warri South Local Government Area.

Daily Report Nigeria gathered that two floating filling stations, shops, and a yet to be ascertained number of speedboats were consumed by the fire.

Details surrounding the cause of the fire were still sketchy as of press time.

Also, Dr. Michael Tidi, Chairman Warri South local government area paid a visit to the scene of the incident to inspect the level of damage done by the fire.
