BREAKING: Abba Kyari Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ to Drug Trafficking Charges

Embattled super cop, DCP Abba Kyari has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging his involvement in drug trafficking.

Kyari, alongside four members of the defunct Intelligence Response Team, who are facing trial, pleaded not guilty in the charge of alleged conspiracy, obstruction, and dealing in Cocaine worth 17.55 kilograms.

Kyari and other accused police officers denied the allegations of unlawful tampering with 21.25kg worth of Cocaine, also pleaded not guilty on this.

Along side Kyari, ACP Sunday J. Ubia, ASP Bawa James, Inspector Simon Agirigba and Inspector John Nuhu complete the list of defendants in the high profile lawsuit instituted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA.

However, alleged drug traffickers – Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne pleaded guilty on counts five, six and seven of charges filed against them.

The two alleged drug traffickers were arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu sometime in February.
