BREAKING: APC State Chairman Resigns

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa, Ibrahim Bilal has resigned his position.

Bilal’s resignation is coming weeks after he was purportedly impeached by members of the state working committee.

While Bilal was reinstated by a court order, his resignation has now been announced in a letter dated September 13, 2022.

The letter emanated from the office of the National Vice Chairman, North East of the APC, Salihu Mustapha.

It said Samaila Tadawus, Bilal’s deputy will assume position as acting chairman pending a ratification by the APC National Working Committee.

The letter reportedly written by Bilala, reads in part;

“While the APC constitution allows me to occupy the office (party chairman post) until 2026, I will be grateful, if I could cease from becoming the chairman of the party immediately.”
