BREAKING: Foremost Nigerian Educationist, Johnson Barovbe Dies

Chief Johnson Barovbe, a foremost Nigerian educationist, is dead.

Barovbe was the Ahwotu of Urhoboland as well the proprietor of the prestigious Westminster College Lagos.

Daily Report Nigeria gathered that the triple chief died on Monday aged 81.

The businessman and philantropist bore the Tosogbe of Badagry, Okunna of Agbon Kingdom and Ahwotu (crowd puller) of Urhobo Kingdom titles during his lifetime.

He was also the Board of Trustees Chairman of the Urhobo Social Club, in Lagos.

Born January 16, 1940, Barovbe once served as Deputy General Manager, Transcap Ltd., 1980-89; General Manager, Dumex Industrial Nigeria Limited, 1989-95, CICA Nigeria Limited, 1996-98 and Managing Director Modika Property Development Company.
