Gunmen on Sunday hijacked two buses belonging to Benue Links, a transport company owned by the Benue state government.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the fully loaded buses were hijacked in Okene, Kogi State.

According to Daily Sun, a minimum of 10 passengers were kidnapped during the attack as many others escaped.
The incident happened around 3 pm along the Ajaokuta/Okene road while the buses were on the way to Lagos.
An official of the transport company, who confirmed the incident said:
“It is true the incident happened along Ajaokuta/Okene road yesterday between 2 and 3 p.m.
“Two vehicles were involved and 10 passengers were abducted. The incident was reported at Adogo Police station near Okene.”
