Breaking: Ijaws Protest Over Abandoned Polytechnic in Delta | Daily Report Nigeria

Ijaws in Burutu local government area of Delta state on Friday protested against the Ifeanyi Okowa led state government over the abandoned Delta State School of Marine Technology Permanent site in Burutu.

The protesters consisting of men, women, and youths demanded for work to commence on the site without further delay.

Their demands is largely influenced by the recent upgrading of three other schools in the state to university status in the state by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, while the school remain undeveloped.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa recently sent a bill to the Delta State House of Assembly, seeking for the College of Education Agbor, Ozoro Polytechnic and the Anwai campus of the Delta State University, Abraka to be upgraded to separate universities.
