Nigerian super striker, Victor Osimhen has reportedly signed for Italian top-flight club, Napoli with his French club set to make an official announcement later on Wednesday night.

According to media outlets from both countries, the Edo-born forward has put pen to paper to a five-year contract worth €70m that could rise to €80m when other performance-related add-ons are activated.

“It’s finally done! All documents are signed. Osimhen is a Napoli player. Lille should formalise his departure this evening (Wednesday). As announced here a few days ago, the transfer is €70m + €10m bonus. Contract until 2025 + 1 year optional for the player,” Get French Football tweeted.

Italian daily outfit, Tuttomercarto further tweeted, “All of the paperwork and contracts have been signed off for Victor Osimhen’s move to Napoli. All that’s left to do now is the announcement.”

Osihmen’s deal has made him the most expensive African signing in in history, beating the African record transfer fee Arsenal paid Lille for Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe last summer.

He has also by virtue of his new deal become the biggest transfer deal Lille has pulled through in their history.

The 21-year-old who is the highest deal so far in the ongoing summer, will wear the No.9 jersey at Napoli for next season.

Osihmen scored scored 18 goals in 32 games for Lille in the just concluded French Ligue 1 season.
