BREAKING: Tinubu Appoints New MD of BOI

Dr Olasupo Olusi has been appointed by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Industry (BOI).

His appointment is for a term of four years in the first instance.

The appointment of Olusi was announced in a statement on Thursday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity).

Ngelale made it known that the president’s  approval of the appointment followed the voluntary resignation of the former BOI Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Olukayode Pitan.

The new appointee has served as a World Bank economist and development finance expert over the past 20 years, the statement added.

Olusi has also served as the economic adviser to the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance.
