The National Elections Petitions Tribunal has upheld the election of Julius Pondi as member representing Burutu Federal Constituency.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Pondi’s declaration as winner of the February 25 election by the Independent National Electoral Commission validated by the tribunal.

Delivering judgment during its sitting in Asaba on Tuesday, the tribunal dismissed all petitions raised by Emibra Agbeotu of the All Progressives Congress.
Agbeotu had raised petitions around over-voting, improper conduct of the election, and sought for tribunal to declare him winner of the poll.

However, the court dismissed all petitions on the grounds of lacking merit.
