Chelsea are still keen on pursuing Victor Osimhen, despite the Nigerian striker completing a loan move to Galatasaray on Tuesday.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the London club remains interested in the 25-year-old and may revisit talks in the future.

During the final hours of the summer transfer window, Chelsea made a late attempt to sign Osimhen, but their offer fell short of his terms.

However, Romano noted that Chelsea, along with several other top European clubs, continues to admire the player.

“The appreciation for Osimhen from top clubs around Europe remains strong,” Romano said. “Galatasaray will cover his salary, which makes this loan a good solution for Napoli, but Chelsea’s interest is still there.”

Victor Osimhen played a crucial role in Napoli’s Serie A title win two seasons ago, scoring 26 goals and finishing as the league’s top scorer.

His impressive performances over the past few years have drawn the attention of clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG, Manchester United, and Liverpool.

After a drawn-out transfer saga, Victor Osimhen eventually made the move to Galatasaray, where he became the sixth Nigerian to represent the club. Despite the loan, Chelsea’s interest in the forward suggests that the pursuit may not be over just yet.
