The Sun and Venus, the debut book by Mrs. Iniye Ingo Anyanebechi is about the overwhelming influence of the father on the girl child. An influence though unsung and undermined, yet very potent and undisputable!

The critical role of a father in the journey of life of his daughter (the girl child) and how his positive influence on her inevitably translates to the equipping/ fortification of the girl child for the manifold tasks ahead of her.

Much is expected of women as critical gatekeepers of our society (and infact all societies), as they function in multiple capacities as daughters, wives, mothers (who shape the lives of the next generation), as primary transmitters of social values and of course, as responsible members of society.
