Comrade Clever Igere has called for massive support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Burutu Constituency I seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo.

The youth leader particularly charged constituents in Oboro Unit 9, Edegbene Unit 27, Enekorogha Unit 26 and Ayakoromor Unit 8 to massively vote Alapala ahead of the rerun election.

Describing Alapala as the best man for the job at this point of history, Igere beckoned on the people to turn out en mass and vote Alapala like they did on March 18.

Exercising conviction of the APC candidate’s victory on February 3, Igere warned the people to be wary of the gimmicks of the opposition as ‘there are rumours of plots to manipulate the election.’

He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ‘to exercise due diligence towards ensuring that the election is conducted in a free and fair manner.’

He said, “the people already know that Alapala is the best man for the job right now, but I still want to urge them to come out massively to cast their votes.

“We are aware of attempts by the opposition to scare voters and manipulate the election on February 3, 2024. Do not be intimidated by the threats of the opposition.

“A vote for Alapala is a vote for freedom, progress and development in our constituency,” Igere added.

Alapala will go head-to-head against Asupa Forteta of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the rerun election slated for February 3, 2024. The election will hold in Oboro Unit 9, Edegbene Unit 27, Enekorogha Unit 26 and Ayakoromor Unit 8.
