Everton have emerged the club in the English Premier League to first sign player this January transfer window.

Everton have completed the signing of Ukraine left-back, Vitaliy Mykolenko from Dynamo Kiev.

Mykolenko completed a move to Goodison Park for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has put pen to paper for four-and-a-half-year deal.

He will fill the non-injury related absence of Lucas Digne.

Mykolenko becomes Rafael Benitez’s sixth signing since taking charge at the People’s Club.

However, Mykolenko will only be an observer in the Toffee’s league match against Brighton on Sunday 2nd, Sky Sports News’ Alan Myers can cofirm.

Mykolenko who raised a league title with Dynamo Kiev last season was part of Ukraine’ squad that was knocked out of the Euro 2020 during the quarter-finals last summer.

Mykolenko told the Blues’ website:  “Moving to Everton is a big and important step in my life. I have always dreamed of playing in the Premier League. English football is where the game was born and I think that it will suit my game very well.”

He added:  “I am 22 but I don’t feel like a youngster. I have experience of playing at European level and hope I will continue to improve as a player.”
