Keith Wyness, the former CEO of Everton, has affirmed that his former club is interested in signing Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho is close to departing Leicester City as a free agent this summer, with his contract set to expire at the end of June.
The Nigerian forward, aged 27, has attracted interest from various clubs both in England and abroad.

Wyness expressed confidence in Iheanacho’s ability to excel in the Premier League, despite spending one season with Leicester City in the Sky Bet Championship.
“I think he can do a big job for Premier League sides, he’s someone I’d keep an eye on. I know Everton have been interested in him, and he’s got the ability to get a good move in the Premier League,” he told Football Insider
“But for Leicester, they will want to keep as much stability as possible. However, if you can’t reach agreements, then nothing can get done.”
