Kylian Mbappe has admitted that staying at Paris Saint-Germain in 2022 was a tough choice.

At 25, Mbappe was widely expected to join Real Madrid two years ago. However, in a surprising turn of events, he chose to remain with PSG and signed a new contract.

Now, Mbappe has played his final game for PSG and will leave as a free agent this summer.

Reflecting on his 2022 decision, Mbappe told CNN: “It was more than just staying at PSG. It was the World Cup in Qatar. There were many factors involved. It was a big decision, a difficult decision… but I don’t regret anything. It was not an easy situation, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”
