Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Campaign Manager Shot Dead | Daily Report Nigeria

Tragedy has struck in Ondo State as Alaba Abbey, a campaign coordinator for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was brutally murdered by gunmen in his hometown of Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area, on Saturday.

Alaba Abbey served as a ward coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers (LACO-SF) and was also the returning officer for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Ward 10 during the recent primary.

Samuel Abbey, the Deceased’s younger brother, confirmed the assassination, stating that the family was in pain.

Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the police spokesperson, confirmed the killing and announced that an investigation has been launched to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death.

The (LACO-SF) has condemned the brutal killing and called for police protection for its members.

Reacting, Kayode Fasua, the campaign organisation’s spokesperson revealed Alaba Abbey’s active involvement in the campaign until his tragic death.

David Ajobiewe, the Director-General of LACO-FS in Akoko Southwest Local Government, described the killing as a big tragedy, stressing his peaceful nature and lack of any known disputes.

Ajobiewe urged the police to thoroughly investigate the murder and bring the perpetrators to justice.
