According to Makama, the attack occurred at about 12:05 a.m. on February 9, when an unspecified number of armed men, suspected to be kidnappers, invaded the residence of Abdulgafar Abdulrazak.
Those abducted were identified as:
- Nafisa Abdulrazak, 41 (wife)
- Ummu Salma Abdulgafar, 13 (daughter)
- Maryam Abdulrazak, 10 (sister)
- One adult male member of the family
Confirming the response, Makama stated that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) immediately mobilised patrol teams after receiving the distress report.
“The nearby bushes were cordoned off, and neighbouring divisions, sister security agencies, and adjoining village vigilantes were alerted,” he said.
Security forces deployed to the area included troops from the Nigerian Army Strike Force, the Special Police Unit (SPU), APV teams, and local vigilante groups, as efforts continue to track down the abductors.
As of the time of filing this report, attempts to reach the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, were unsuccessful, as his phone line was not reachable.
