Manchester City midfielder, Jack Grealish, has revealed how he escaped picking up a red card during their the Citizens’ 3-1 win over Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Grealish’s goal restored City’s lead, after Bukayo Saka cancelled out Kevin De Bruyne’s finish..
Leading top scorer, Haaland broke in the 72nd minute before IIkay Gundogan squared for an unmakerd, Grealish to take the game beyond the reach of the Gunners.
His shot took a very huge deflection off Tomiyasu to find the net before Haaland made it 3-1 on the night.
Speaking about the goal on Amazon Prime, Grealish said:
“I was going to reverse it but then I know Rammers from England and we always have banter, so I thought he’s going to think I’m going to try and reverse it.
“It was due to one of them, just a deflection or something. I was going to take my top off, but I realised I was already on a yellow card so it’s a good job I didn’t.”
