Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo believes Ademola Lookman should win the 2024 CAF Player of the Year award, according to DAILY POST.
Lookman starred as Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the UEFA Europa League final on Wednesday night, scoring a hat-trick in the process.
The 26-year-old made history as the first African to score a hat-trick in the final of a major European competition.

Lookman also played a significant role in Nigeria’s second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, scoring three goals in seven appearances.
Reacting to Lookman’s heroics against Bayer Leverkusen, Omeruo posted on his social media handle: “@CAF_Online your African Player of the Year.. @ALookman_ top player.”
