While details of Patrick’s kidnap were still sketchy as of press time, the publication attributed the incident to the protest coordinated by the victim on August 26.

Patrick had led several other students from Gbaramatu to protest over fraudulent admission offered them by the institution.

Novena University was accused of working hand-in-hand with certain back-door merchants to siphon culpable students in the guise of enrolling them via the Presidential Amnesty Program.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Edafe Bright, did not respond to calls to his phone by our correspond.
