N-Power: Beneficiaries Calls For Expansion, Hold Rally In Abuja

Beneficiaries of the N-Power scheme has beckoned on the Federal Government for expansion of the programme.

At a rally held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, the beneficiaries commended the government for establishing the scheme and other Social Intervention Programmes in the country.

According to a statement released from the N-Power Forum, the scheme alongside with other schemes; such as the National Cash Transfer Programme, National Home Grown School Feeding Programme, have all had positive impact on ordinary Nigerians.

While the group emphasized on the need to expand the various empowerment schemes including the N-Power, it noted its benefit on the ever growing youth population in the country.

Meanwhile, there has been a lot of debate on the N-Power scheme as some has called for its scrapping, while others have noted its importance on the unemployed Nigerian youths.

There have also been recent complaints from some of the beneficiaries across the country, over incessant non-payment of stipends.
