The operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP have confirmed the rescue of an 8-year-old.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that that the young boy, identified as Divine Ibanga, who was kidnapped one year ago in Port Harcourt has been reunited with his parents.

According to reports from Mr Emmanuel Awhen, the Uyo Zonal Commander for the agency, the young boy was abducted in Uyo on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Awhen added that Divine was kidnapped when a stranger, who is currently on the run gave his older brother #200 to buy biscuits, and before he returned, he had kidnapped him. This happened while they were playing in their compound.
He said;
“The boy, Divine, was rescued by NAPTIP Headquarters in Abuja and then sent to us, where we were able to put him on television and social media,”
“We managed to locate the parents, who came in from Port Harcourt, and we decided to reunite the child with them.”
