The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) has issued a directive to dismantle illegal security outfits involved in extortion and harassment of Nigerians.
In a statement, ONSA spokesperson Zakari Mijinyawa specifically warned the public about an illegal group operating under the names NATFORCE and NATCOM.
Mijinyawa stated that despite efforts by law enforcement agencies to prosecute individuals operating illegal outfits, some members of the public and key stakeholders have fallen victim to NATFORCE’s fraudulent activities.
He clarified that NATFORCE and NATCOM are not recognized as part of Nigeria’s security architecture and have no affiliation with any official security agency.
