NDLEA Arraigns Man for Allegedly Importing 600 Grams of Heroin

NDLEA Arraigns Man for Allegedly Importing 600 Grams of Heroin | Daily Report Nigeria

The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arraigned a man for allegedly importing hard drugs into the country.

The accused, identified as Peprah, was charged with one count of drug trafficking, he was alleged to imported 600 grams of heroin.

The prosecutor, Mrs. Juliana Iroabuchi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 2

She said that he was arrested at the “E” arrival hall of Muritala Airport during the clearance of passengers from Dubai.

She further confirmed that 600g of heroin was recovered from him and that they were concealed in some female designer clothes to avoid suspicion.

The trial Judge, Justice Lewis Alagoa, after hearing a bail application as moved by defence counsel, Chief Lilian Omotunde, fixed Oct. 15 for ruling

The offense, the NDLEA said, contravened the provisions of Section 11(a) of the NDLEA Act Cap N30 Law of the Federation 200

The accused would be punished by life imprisonment if found guilty.
