Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football, has encouraged Nigeria to consider bidding for the FIFA World Cup. He also confirmed that Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will attend the 2023 AFCON final.

The final match between Ivory Coast and Nigeria will take place on Sunday, February 11, at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.

The CAF president said:

“Nigeria must put in a bid. The Nigerian president (Bola Tinubu) is coming to watch the final on Sunday. I will have a conversation with him about it.”
