The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced a reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) at its retail stations in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

This adjustment, which took effect on the morning of Saturday, December 14, 2024, is being welcomed by commuters and motorists who are hopeful for further cuts.

A staff member at an NNPCL station along the Kubwa Expressway confirmed the price change, stating, “The price was reduced to N1,040 per litre from N1,060 on Saturday morning.”

The price drop follows the recent commencement of petroleum production at the state-owned Port Harcourt refinery, which began operations in November 2024.
