Nobody Can Hijack PDP – Ogundele

Ahead of its primaries for the 2023 general elections, the Ogun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assured all aspirants of fairness.

Sikirulai Ogundele, the State party Chairman, gave the assurance while speaking at the official declaration of Jimi Lawal for the gubernatorial ticket.

Ogundele, who said nobody can hijack the party in the state vowed that the opposition party would not stop eligible members from vying for any political position.

NAN quoted the chairman as saying: “We thank God for the peace that we now enjoy in our party after the reconciliation”.

“We will be transparent and fair in the selection of the flag bearers for the various political offices.

“Let me allay fears over misconceptions concerning the activities in Ogun. The party is for all of us and nobody has pocketed it.”

While vowing not to be a part of anything that will destroy the PDP in the state, the chairman appealed to all members to support aspirants that emerge as candidates after the primary elections.
