INC: Okaba, Ezonebi, Odiowei, Ogunkoro, Others Attend Funeral of Mama Timiyan

The National Executive Council of the Ijaw National Congress, on Friday attended the final funeral rites of the Mama Angelina Timiyan, at Obotobo II community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The delegation led by the INC President, Prof. Benjamin Okaba had joined other dignitaries from all spheres of life to pay their last respect to octogenarian, who is mother to the HRM Elder Capt. Joseph Timiyan, the Ebenanawei of Ogulagha Kingdom.

Delivering his condolence messages at the ceremony, Prof. Okaba, consoled the monarch, his immediate family and the entire people of Ogulagha over the demise of their mother.

Okaba described the late mama as a fulfilled woman before she passed on.

He stated that a woman who left behind five well-trained children in different fields of endeavour and seventy-two grandchildren is definitely a successful woman.

He further stated that, although mama attained the age of 82 before her death, it is still disheartening to hear of her passing on, considering that her people still needed her wealth of experience and her humanitarian services.

Okaba prayed to God for the family, the people of Obotobo for the fortitude to bear the loss.

The President was joined by the INC Publicity Secretary, Engr Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha, the Financial Secretary, Chief Ken Odiowei and the Western Zone Chairman, Chief Robison Ogukoro, among others.
