The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Western Zone has passed a vote of confidence on Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

The youth body covering Delta, Edo, and Ondo States commended Otuaro for his strategic engagement with critical stakeholders across the region in pursuance of sustainable peace and development.

In a statement released on Friday and signed by the trio of Nicholas Igarama (Chairman), Ebi Joshua Olowolayemo Esq (Secretary), and Tare Magbei (Information Officer) respectively, the IYC scored Otuaro high for his innovative approaches towards fostering the existing peace in the Niger Delta.

The statement titled “IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL PLEASED WITH THE ACHIEVEMENT OF DR. DENNIS OTUARO IN SUSTAINING PEACE IN NIGER DELTA: PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON THE PAP BOSS”, also sought for more support for Otuaro’s administration.

“The IYC Western Zone testifies of Dr. Otuaro’s dedication to the development of the Niger Delta through his proactive efforts in addressing the concerns of the people via meaningful consultation and engagements.

“This approach has fostered unity and progress, which are critical to the stability of peace in the region.

“In light of this, the IYC Western Zone, which cuts across Delta, Edo and Ondo states calls on all Niger Deltans to shun any attempt aimed at causing discord or disunity in the region.

“Conclusively, we would like to state that Dr. Otuaro has achieved quite a lot in his shortest stay as Administrator of the PAP. We therefore use this medium to pass a vote of confidence on Chief (Dr) Dennis Burutu Otuaro for his excellent performance, and we also rekindle our commitment to give him the necessary support whenever he needs us.”
