The Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum has expressed its gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, as minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
PDP Governors expressed their appreciation to Tinubu when they paid a courtesy visit to Wike on Wednesday following the political crisis rocking Rivers State.
The chairman of the forum and Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, who spoke after the meeting, said: “At the risk of being accused of flattery, we really appreciate Mr President and Nyesom Wike. Again, giving him this office at the FCT, which is like a state, in spite of the fact that he is still one of us as a PDP member, has shown the kind of leadership that Mr President has.”
