PDP Crisis Thickens as Wike’s Camp Shuns Campaign Council Inauguration

Governor Nyesom of Rivers State on Wednesday led faces of notable absentees at the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Council inauguration.

Wike and other aggrieved members of his camp, boycotted the event that also saw the launch of a book in honor of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Other governors of Wike’s camp who shunned the event include Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue State; Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State; and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.

The PDP National Chairman was also absent over health conditions according to the Vice Chairman (North), Umar Damagum.

However, PDP governors reportedly loyal to Atiku were in attendance at the ceremony.

They include: Governors Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State; Diri Duoye of Bayelsa State; Godwin Obaseki of Edo State; Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State; Darius Ishaku of Taraba State; Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State; and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.

The presidential candidate was joined by his running mate and governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
