The power outage occurred Thursday morning and was reportedly caused by multiple factors, including a lack of gas supply to power plants and technical problems at some transmission stations.
The power outage affected customers across the country, including those served by EKEDC.
EKEDC said:
“We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the blackout. We thank you for your patience and understanding.”
