Ronald Koeman has cautioned new Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, about the challenges of working with club president Joan Laporta.
Koeman, who managed Barcelona from August 2020 to October 2021, expressed his thoughts on Flick’s appointment and emphasized the need for patience from Laporta.
In an interview with Spanish outlet AS, Ronald Koeman said, “I hope that Laporta will finally be patient with his coach. If you don’t feel the president’s support, you’re lost.”

Koeman also reflected on his own departure from the club, revealing that he was dismissed by Laporta in front of the players on a plane in 2022, which he felt was disrespectful.
