Saboteurs of Presidential Amnesty Program Fighting Ndiomu – IIA

A pro-Niger Delta group, the Ijaw Interest Advocates has identified detractors of new Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Program, Major-General Barry Ndiomu as those responsible for the struggles of the initiative.

The group otherwise known as Izanzan Intellectual Camp noted that saboteurs after Ndiomu over his commitment to mopping up the program.

In a statement made available to Daily Report Nigeria on Saturday, the group advised gullible detractors to channel their grievances at those responsible for the problems associated with the program and not Ndiomu.

The statement signed by the group’s National Coordinator, Amb. Arerebo Yerinmene, reads in full;

“We have keenly observed the recent attacked on the new Interim Administrator (IA)
of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu (retd) and and are bold to state that it is corruption fighting back.

“On a positive direction, we are strongly admonishing those fighting the IA on unworthy grounds to desist from it and channel the fight towards those who messed up the programme.

“While we are yet to conclude our findings, we already uncovered fake contracts awarded and an unprecedented hike in contract sums. Those behind this evil act are the same people attacking the IA to divert attention.

“However, after our all inclusive investigation, we will come up with a comprehensive report on the state of the programme and we are very sure that the Ijaw Nation, Niger Delta and beneficiaries of the program will know those sabotaging the programme.

“Indisputably, the Nigeria Federal government is doing its part in the programme but those appointed to man the it failed woefully in collaboration with some greedy ex-militant generals.

“While we are calling on the federal government to have a rethink on the proposed shutdown of the program to maintain the existing peace in the region, we implore the IA to be focused and give adequate attention on how to salvage the programme.”
