While the argument continued, the tricyclist reportedly stabbed Edris which led to his death.

An uproar had ensued when a mob at the Yenizue-Epie area of Yenagoa where the incident occurred subsequently attacked the tricyclist to death.

This had also triggered an outburst of violence between the Hausa community in Yenagoa and the inhabitants of Yenizue-Epie, making the state government invite both parties.

The violence appeared quelled as there was no news in that regard while filling the reports.

It was said that Governor Douye Diri had summoned the warring Hausa Community and Yenizue-Epie leader to a meeting thereafter.

Daily Report Nigeria also learnt that Diri had paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family, including Edris’ wife and three children.

During his visit, the governor awarded the widow a job, and the children study scholarships up to University level.
