Stanley Nwabali, the goalkeeper, is on track to recover in time for the Super Eagles’ upcoming friendlies against Ghana and Mali slated for later this month.
Nwabali suffered an injury that forced him off the pitch during Chippa United’s recent 2-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend, sparking concerns about his availability for the crucial friendlies against the Black Stars and Eagles.
However, reassuring reports indicate that the injury sustained by the shot-stopper is not severe, and he is expected to be fully fit for international duty.

Nwabali showcased his talent for Nigeria during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, where he put on stellar performances. The 27-year-old conceded only three goals in seven appearances, contributing significantly to the Super Eagles’ second-place finish in the tournament.
