Super Eagles Winger Suspends Contract Ahead of a Bundesliga Move

CSKA Moskow and Super Eagles winger, Chidera Ejuke have activated one of FIFA’s statutes in Russia and Ukraine to complete a move to German side, Hertha Berlin.

The Russian giant released a statement on their club’s website regretting the decision. The club also complained about FIFA’s statutes and their effects on Russian clubs.
“Striker Chidera Ejuke and midfielder Arnor Sigurdsson have used the temporary employment rules, which were approved by The Bureau of the FIFA Council, and suspended their respective deals with PFC CSKA until 30 June 2023,” the club stated.

PFC CSKA regrets the players’ decision, which was taken despite the club’s effort and their contract duties.”

“As was announced earlier, PFC CSKA plans to file lawsuits to defend its interests against FIFA’s decision, which we consider discriminatory and contrary to the statutes of that organization,” they concluded.

The pacy winger is said to be nearing a move to the German side in the coming weeks.
