Sylvester Oromoni’s Mother Weeps as Police Acquits Dowen College Students, Officials

Sylvester Oromoni’s mother wept bitterly after the students and workers of Dowen College were exonerated of wrong doing by the Lagos State Government.

12-year-old Oromoni was allegedly beaten to death by fellow students of the school, but that has not been proven by investigations

Seeing that the law has failed to give the family justice, the mother has cried out to God to avenge the death of her son.

Five officials and five students of Dowen College linked to Oromoni’s death were cleared of any crime by the Lagos State government through the Director of Public Prosecution.

Those cleared of the crime are 16-year-old Favour Benjamin, Edward Begue (16), Ansel Temile (14) and Kenneth Inyang (15) and 15-year-old Micheal Kashamu, the son of the late senator, Buruji Kashamu.

Officials are Celina Uduak, Valentine Igboekweze, Hammed Ayomo Bariyu, Adesanya Olusesan Olusegun and one Adeyemi.

Shortly after the students and officials of Dowen College were exonerated, Oromoni’s mother was seen in a video, lamenting how she couldn’t celebrate Christmas and New Year with her son.

She said, “The whole world will know that there is God that fights for the oppressed.

“Jehovah God, arise. King of glory, arise and cut short the lives of those that cut the life of my son short, including those supporting them.

“Let them feel the pains that I’m passing through. If they breathe the air that you created, God let your rod fall on them.”
