Zachary Maduka, a Campaign Director of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia State has been killed.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Maduka was beheaded in his home in Uturu on Tuesday night.
He was the campaign director for the party in Uturu and also the home branch Chairman of Uturu Union.
The assailants reportedly took away his head after slaughtering him.
However, the motive behind the gruesome act was unclear.
Also, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abia State, Moureen Chinaka hasn’t commented on the matter.
Chinaka said:
“I’m yet to be briefed. I have no information for now with regard to that. So, I will get back to you when I’m briefed.”
The Chairman of LP in Abia State, Ceekay Igara confirmed that he has informed the party’s Local Government Chairman in the area.
Igara said:
“I have spoken with the Chairman of our party in the LGA and he confirmed it. He said it might not be unconnected with insecurity because the man was strong in the fight against insecurity and cultism in that region.”
