3 Dead, Many Injured as Bomb Explodes in Cattle Market

At least three persons have been confirmed dead from a bomb explosion that occurred in a cattle market in Taraba State.

19 person were also left injured by the blast that occured on Tuesday evening, at Iware community, a suburb of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area in the state.

The incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Taraba State Police Command, Mr Abdullahi Usman, who said the injured victims are being treated at health facilities.

An eyewitness identified as Mr Sunday Pantuvo told newsmen that the suspected bomber came to the drinking joint with a friend, ordered a drink before leaving in separate ways.

Mr Pantuvo, who was also injured from the explosion said the bomber returned with a polythene bag to pay for his drink, but left without the said bag.

The explosion is said to have occured shortly after the suspect left the joint.

One of the suspects was reportedly apprehended by angry residents, who severed his body into parts.

According to the Police spokesman, security operatives have since been mobilized to area to ascertain calm.
