9 Ghanaians Arrested For Smuggling Cannabis Worth N200 Million Into Nigeria

Nine Ghana natives have been arrested by the operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly smuggling cannabis into Nigeria.

The suspects, identified as Victor Musa, Freeman Gasie, Adotete Joseph, Moses Sottie, Christian Tette, Kabu Okonipa, Stephen Sottie, Daniel Toyokpti and Kabu Natte were reported to have smuggled 201 bags of Indian hemp, which are valued at N200 million into Nigeria.

Parading the suspects at the Command’s headquarters in Ikeja, the state commandant, Edenabu Okoro Eweka, said the suspects were arrested through the support of the Nigerian Navy, adding that the operation was done by the marine unit of NSCDC.
