As the Lions of Teranga prepare to face the Stallions of Burkina Faso in the first semi-final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Senegal captain Sadio Mane has stated that no amount of sacrifice from him and the rest of his teammates will be too great in order for Senegal to win their first Afcon title.

Despite having major doubts about his availability ahead of the quarter-finals match against Equatorial Guinea due to a head injury sustained in the Round of 16 match against Cape Verde, Mane played the full 90 minutes and contributed significantly to the Lions’ 3-1 victory.

Mane said ahead of today’s semi-final match at the Ahmadu Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde, “It is my job to be ready to play anywhere, and it is important for the boys to make sure we play to win.”
