BREAKING: Fani-Kayode Arrested Inside Court, Handed Over to EFCC

Former minister for aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was arrested inside the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, and was further moved to a nearby EFCC office.

He was in court over to face trial on forgery and was walking out of the court after the case was adjourned till January 24, 2021, when he was accosted by an EFCC investigator before he was subsequently arrested.

The latest arrest is coming just one week after Fani-Kayode was arrested by the anti-graft agency over forgery allegations.

A 17-count charge of N4.6billion bordering on money laundering was preferred against Fani-Kayode alongside Nenandi Usman, a former Minister of State for Finance.

Also, Yusuf Danjuma, a former Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) was also charged alongside the duo and a company, Jointrust Dimensions Nigeria Ltd.
